It’s important to understand that liposuction is not a weight loss procedure. After undergoing liposuction by one of our cosmetic surgeons, you still have to eat a healthy diet and exercise.

However, if you put in the effort to maintain a healthy lifestyle, your liposuction results should be permanent.

How is that possible? You have a certain number of fat cells in your body, and that number is usually set by the time you reach puberty. As you gain weight, those cells get bigger. With liposuction, our cosmetic surgeons removes those fat cells from a particular area of your body. And they don’t grow back.

If you gain weight after your liposuction procedure, you will usually see the effects in other parts of your body, which you might not like. However, with a little bit of effort you should be able to maintain your great new post-liposuction shape.
